Elsecar reached their first Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy with a hard-earned four-wicket win over Townville.
Now they will be keeping a close eye on the second-semi-final between Cleckheaton and York on August 10 to see who their final opponents will be.
Glenn Yates and Andy Ivill were the key figures as Elsecar overcame the determined challenge of the Central Yorkshire League champions.
Ivill took 5-32 and Yates (3-46) as Townville subsided from 188-2 to 215 all out. Crucially they failed to use up five of their 50 overs.
Townville had looked set for a much bigger total when the experienced Tim Walton was at the wicket. he hit three sixes and 14 flours in an impressive 104. John Hughes (33) gave him good support, but when both fell in close succession, Elsecar seized control.
Elsecar paced their reply well with Glenn Yates (72no), Brett Hunsley (31) and Ian swallow (30) ensuring victory for the South Yorkshire League champions.
