Sunday's Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy final between Elsecar and York is a match which throw up a number of interesting contrasts.

It pits the South Yorkshire League champions who love to chase score against the Yorkshire League title winners of the last seven years who love to dominate matches by batting first. For York this will be their fourth final with their only win to date being in 2009, while Elsecar will be appearing in their first final.

How to get to Hanging Heaton

One similarity in the two teams copmes from the fact they are both led by spin bowlers. Former Yorkshire off spinner Ian Swallow is at the helm for Elsecar while York are led by Daniel Wood who was at the helm for the 2009 final win over Woodlands.

Both teams have shown good form of their way to the final. Elsecar started their campaign with a five-wicket win over last year's beaten finalists Woodhouse Grange from the York Senior League.

Central Yorkshire League title winners Townville were their semi-final opponents. Elsecar judged their run chase perfectly to win by six wickets.

After accounting for Huddersfield League champions Shepley by 45 runs in the first round, York defeated JCT600 Bradford League champions Cleckheaton by 150 runs in last Sunday;s semi-fiinal.

It was an impressive performance which underlined their desire to prove themselves the best team in Yorkshire
