Payntr Cricket, the revolutionary new cricket shoe brand that has taken the sporting world by storm, has announced a retail partnership with one of the world’s largest cricket retailers, All Rounder Cricket.
Both business owners , Chris Taylor and Dave Paynter are familiar local cricketing names who have played in the Bradford Cricket League for decades and also played Firsst Class cricket for many years. All Rounder Cricket are of course the league sponsors of the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.
All Rounder Cricket will be the first retailer stocking the new Payntr X Cricket shoe in both its Leeds and Sheffield stores, as well as via its e-commerce platform www.allroundercricket.com. The shoe, which comes in sizes 7 to 13, is available in three colour-ways and retails at £84.99
Launched in January 2017, Payntr Cricket has already received worldwide interest, with numerous high profile professional and international cricketers opting to purchase the lightweight shoe. In a market dominated by sports giants, All Rounder managing director Chris Taylor explained why he had chosen to stock the new shoe.
He said: "The cricket footwear market has been dominated for years by the big brands. Stocking the Payntr X is exactly what is needed to freshen up the market, because this is the perfect cricket shoe - the days of buying trainers and having them spiked are long gone. I am looking forward to seeing the Payntr X everywhere from village greens to the Test arenas this coming summer.”
The futuristic Payntr X Shoe is the first of its kind to combine the power of a cricket spike with the pace and comfort of a running shoe, because traditional cricket spikes may provide the traction necessary for grass surfaces, but the shoe itself is usually heavy and unyielding, hampering the cricket player’s agility.
The shoe also has a knitted, sock-like upper, which eliminates the use of chunky cricket socks and introduces the more slimline sports profile for an improved, snug fit. Traditionally, cricketers wear a “county grey” – a thick cricket sock - in order to provide the cushioning that the normal cricket boot lacks; there are also fast-tie laces and a re-enforced toe cap for protection.
Some of the world’s top cricketers have had the chance to try the shoes for themselves and according to ex-international cricketing legend Graeme Swann, they will be “a game changer.”
David Paynter, owner of Payntr Cricket, added: “We are delighted with this retail partnership, as we regard it as a true endorsement of our brand. I believe firmly in All Rounder’s high standards of customer service and incredible reach via their e-commerce platform, and we would only partner with a first-class retailer whose values are aligned with our own.”
