Rushworth ton is tops for Woodlands

Woodlands v Morley
Nicky Rushworth made an unbeaten 109 as Woodlands established a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a nine-wicket win. Rushworth hit four sixes and 15 fours as he guided his side past the Morley total of 176-7. Young opener Harry Medcalf (28) shared an opening stand of 105 with Rushworth. Jack Murnan was the cornerstone of the Morley innings with 87.

Pudsey St Lawrence v Jer Lane
Jer Lane are second in the table after defeating the previous leaders Pudsey St Lawrence by five runs at Tofts Road. Miraj Khan (66) and Umar Dawood (46no) top scored for the visitors in their total of 191-8, while Karl Morris (4-67) was the pick of the home bowlers. Brian Devine (40) and Curtis Hardaker (40no) top scored for St Lawrence as they were bowled for 186, Arslaan Mahmood picking up 3-42.

New Farnley v Batley
There was also a close game at the Barry Jackson ground where New Farnley edged home by nine runs. Edward Denton was their match winner with 6-33 while Jack Dyson (3-33) helped dismiss the visitors for 127. Lukas Ruane (36) top scored when New Farnley made 136 batting first, despite the efforts of Zahoor Hussain (4-48).

Bowling Old Lane v Hanging Heaton
Champions Hanging Heaton won a low-scoring encounter by four wickets with two of their experienced campaigners making decisive contributions. John Carruthers took 5-24 as Old Lane were dismissed for 104 while Nick Bresnan hit an unbeaten 52 to help them to victory. Abdullah Ijaz picked up 3-11 for Old Lane.

Pudsey Congs v Gomersal
The Butt brothers Bilal and Hassan played leading roles as Pudsey Congs secured a five-wicket win. Hassan took 4-45 and Bilal (3-50) as Gomersal were bowled out for 172 with Daniel Grant and Javid Umarji both scoring 35. When Congs batted Bilal (56) and Hassan (40) helped their side reach their target despite the efforts of Matthew Hirst (4-47).

Bankfoot v Pudsey Congs
Samad Rahman (4-26) and Majid Khan (4-27) helped Bankfoot bowl out their opponents for 91 to secure a 35-run victory. Hamza Saeed (38) was top scorer for East Bierley. Earlier, skipper Ross Monaghan had taken 6-33 as East Bierley bowled their hosts out for 126. Haroon Iqbal (37) made crucial runs for Bankfoot.

Townville skipper Kieran Samuels took his tally of league runs this season to 347 and his average to 115.66 with an unbeaten 81 as his side chased down Carlton’s 161 to win by nine wickets. Steve Walton (36) and Ian Jones (34no) gave good support. Niall Charles (43), James Cooper (40) and Simon Parker (31) provided the bulk of Carlton’s runs.

Bradford & Bingley v Yeadon

Bradford & Bingley retained the leadership of Division One with an eight-wicket win. Lewis Brown (57), Warren Allitt (45no) and Matthew Swallow (34no) led the way as they overhauled Yeadon’s score of 170-7. Daniel Hall (49) top scored for the visitors.

East Ardsley v Farsley

Ryan Blackburn took 6-57 to set up Farsley’s two-wicket win which keeps them just one point adrift of Bradford & Bingley. Ashley Chapman (52) and Tom Daniels (39) battled hard for East Ardsley with the bat as they were bowled out for 152,while Oliver Appleyard (5-48) ensured Farsley had to work hard for their victory.

Lightcliffe v Methley

Lightcliffe were another side o squeeze home by two wickets. Michael Brooke (49) ensured they edged past a Methley total of 112. Jack McCaffrey (40) top scored for Methley as Marcus Kelly (5-30) and Henry Saul (3-26) took the bowling honours for the home side. Gordon Thomson (3-22) was the pick of Methley’s bowlers.

Baildon v Great Preston

Run were at a premium at Jenny Lane where visitors Great Preston were bowled out for 86 with five different bowlers all taking two wickets each. Skipper Darren Wilson (24no) steered Baildon to a seven-wicket win.

Hartshead Moor v Cleckheaton

Mohammad Ahmed took 6-28 as Cleckheaton restricted Hartshead Moor to 166-9 before easing to a five-wicket win. Robert Swift (62) top scored for the home side while Elliot Hallas (64no) and Yusuf Malik (44) led the Cleckheaton response.

Lewis Moore hit a superb 152 not out with two sixes and 21 fours as leaders Northowram Fields went 16 points clear at the top with a 145-run win. George Bickle (60no) helped swell their side’s total to 285-5. Jack Duffy backed up their efforts by taking 5-30 as Mills were dismissed for 140, Arshad Ali scoring 56.

Liversedge v Altofts

Second-placed Altofts were bowled out for 49 to lose a low-scoring encounter at Liversedge by 21 runs. Darren Sharp continued his good form by taking 6-25 as Liversedge were bowled out for 70, but the home side hit back with Reuben Shuttleworth (7-29) and Riyaz Matala (3-20) sealing victory for them.

Undercliffe v Sandal

The two captains made half centuries in a match where everybody else struggled. Ian Shuttleworth made 50 out of Sandal’s score of 86 while Nick Sugden made 50 not out as Undercliffe triumphed by eight wickets. Amaan Ali and Abdul Hamid both took 3-14 for Undercliffe.

Keighley v Brighouse

Brighouse’s Zafar Mahmood produced the season’s best bowling figures of 9-33 as his side dismissed Keighley for 105 to complete a 73-run win. Kabeer Hussain (46) and Waqar Ilyas (34) top scored in the Brighouse total of 178. Louie Wilkinson (3-46) and Harry Barker (3-49) were the best of the home bowlers.

Buttershaw St Paul’s v Ossett

Martin Rhodes (4-27) and Jack Wilson (3-43) helped Buttershaw St Paul’s to register their first win. Ossett were bowled out for 114 in reply to the St Paul’s score of 186 despite Gurnoor Singh making 48. John Anderson (40) and Luke Barker (32) were the main contributors for the home side as Singh (3-34) posed the main threat.

Alex Drake (5-25) and Conor Teale (3-13) helped Birstall to bowl out St Michael’s for 56 as they secured a 188-run win.  Aamir Malik (88), Daniel Pauley (57) and Adam Eustace (35) helped Birstall to 244-7. Cavan Connolly (3-40) and Ryan Hutchinson (3-81) were the best bowlers for the visitors.

Joint leaders East Leeds must have feared the worst when David Charles took 7-16 to dismiss them for just 63, but they hit back to bowl out the home side for 64 to win by nine runs. Rajab Ali took 6-34.

Adwalton v Scholes

David Townsend was dismissed on 99 for joint leaders Scholes but had the satisfaction of seeing his side defeat Adwalton by 53 runs. Scholes made 236-6 before bowling out their rivals for 183 with Ross Irving taking 4-59 and Noman Irshad (4-17). Ajani Sherwani (52) and Mark Palfreman (37) were the main contributors for Adwalton.

Spen Victoria v Crossflatts

Crossflatts are third after their five-wicket win at Spen Victoria. Only Peter Jackson (33) made an impression as the home side were dismissed for 117 with Rhys Mazey taking 3-18 and Charlotte Boulton (3-26). Crossflatts eased to victory despite Yusuf Kayat taking 3-16.

Jamal Khojani (65no) and Chris Allan (42) helped Hunslet Nelson secure a nine-wicket win after Josh Morris (3-35) had helped them bowl  out Wrenthorpe for 127.

Raze Raja took 4-5 as Heckmondwike & Carlinghow secured a 43-run win. Billy Cameron made 45 for Crossbank but they still fell short of the visitors’ score of 172. Israr Ghaffar made 45 while Tyler Woodhouse (5-61) and Joseph Hampshaw (3-65) were the pick of the bowlers.
