Mahmood and Khan hit tons for Jer Lane

Premier Division

Bowling Old Lane v Jer Lane
Adnan Mahmood (147) and Miraj Khan (112) shared a second wicket partnership of 264 as second place Jer Lane made 277-2 in their 140-run win at Birch Lane. Mahmood struck four sixes and 15 fours while Miraj Khan hit one six and 12 fours. Old Lane were dismissed for 137 despite the efforts of Khalid Ur Rehman (52) and Umar Zubair (33no) as Haroon Mahmood impressed with 5-35.


Woodlands v Batley
Leaders Woodlands were indebted to Naved Siddique (51no) and Jak Murphy (43) for steering them to a match winning score of 216-9. Only Harry Medcalf (41) of the top order made an impression. Sufyan Patel (43) top scored for Batley as they were dismissed for 122 to lose by 94 runs. Cieran Garner picked up 4-27 for Woodlands who have a 17-point lead.


New Farnley v Bankfoot
New Farnley are third, 18 points behind leaders Woodlands, after their 54-run win. Jack Dyson was the key performer for the home side. After top scoring with 45 in a total of 185-7, he took 4-24 with his leg spin as Bankfoot were dismissed for 131. Tom Lilley (44) supported Dyson with the bat while Sam Lodge (3-21) backed him up with the ball. Majid Khan top scored with 48 for Bankfoot.

Hanging Heaton v Gomersal
Champions Hanging Heaton skittled Gomersal out for just 61 as they completed a 179-run win. Jack Rich (4-7) and Finnley Morgan (3-25) did much of the damage on an afternoon when the top contribution for the visitors was extras with 17. Tom Lindsay hammered 77, while Rich (50no) and Craig Russell (49) helped Hanging Heaton post 240-7 batting first.

Pudsey St Lawrence v East Bierley
Opener Brian Devine made an unbeaten 58 as St Lawrence cruised to an eight-wicket win after bowling out East Bierley for 91 with Adam Carass taking 3-29 and Adam Frost (3-30).

Morley Pudsey Congs
The Pudsey Congs batsmen secured their team’s third win of the season with Hassan Butt (50), Mark Ferguson (43), Bilal Butt (39) and Macauley Gaunt (33no) led the way as Morley’s score of 201-9 was chased down for the loss of five wickets. Ben Jenkinson (53no), Bailey Goodlad (38) and Edward Hutchinson (33) were the home side’s top scorers. Adam Patrick took 3-44 for Congs while Morley’s best bowler was Harish Krishnesh (3-45).

Morley v Bankfoot

Morley found the going tough in their second match of the weekend and suffered a nine-wicket defeat at home to Bankfoot. Samad Rahman (5-16) and Asad Nasir (3-6) helped the visitors to bowl out their hosts for 75 despite a battling 42 from Edward Hutchinson. Bankfoot eased to victory with Saqib Agsar scoring 35.

Townville v Cleckheaton

There is just no stopping Townville skipper Kieran Samuels. He took his tally of league runs for the season to 495 with an unbeaten 71 as he guided his side to a 10-wicket win. In his six innings Samuels has hit one century and five fifties for an impressive average of 165. His opening partner Steve Walton was 38 not out when Cleckheaton’s score of 108 was passes. Yusuf Malik (42) top scored while the pick of the Townville bowlers were Niall Charles (4-24) and Megan Hodkinson (3-21).

Bradford & Bingley v Farsley
Bradford & Bingley’s young batsman Matthew Swallow scored a sparkling 185, an innings containing a stunning 14 sixes and 15 fours, as he helped the Division One leaders compile a score of 323-6 in their 63-run win. Matthew Keeton (88) shared a fifth wicket stand of 202 with Swallow. Farsley, who remain second despite the defeat, made 260-8 with Andrew Sims (81) and Tom Moss (78) sharing 139 for the fourth wicket.

Baildon v Lightcliffe
Baildon skipper Darren Wilson made an unbeaten 36 to guide his side to a two-wicket in a low scoring encounter at Jenny Lane. Wilson stood firm as Ayan Zafar (3-17) and Henry Saul (3-25) gave the visitors hope of defending their modest score of 116-9. Michael Brooke led he way with 45 for Lightcliffe as Sam Kelly (4-29) posed the main threat.

East Ardsley v Great Preston
Bowlers were on top at Jeffrey Field where East Ardsley won by 30 runs despite only scoring 101. They struggled against Luke Kane (5-37), but the tables were turned when Great Preston batted and were dismissed for 71. The wickets were shared by Richard Butcher (4-14), Ben Smith (3-19) and Steve Blow (3-29).

Hartshead Moor v Methley
Promoted Hartshead Moor are still searching for their first win after going down to  seven-wicket defeat at Highmoor Lane. Jack Baldwin battled for his 51 but a total of 152 proved insufficient. Jacob Schofield (4-19) and David Winter (3-20) did the damage with the ball while George Ellis (40), Matty Bridge (34no) and David Winter (34) guided Methley to victory.

Northowram Field v Altofts
Leaders Northowram Fields had a nail-biting one-run win with Jack Duffy taking 3-15 as they bowled out Altofts for 123. Earlier, Jaymes Hollingworth had taken 5-32 as Northowram Fields, despite 41 from Todd Reeday, were dismissed for 124.

Undercliffe v Brighouse
Zafar Mahmood continued his fine form for second place Brighouse by taking 6-21 as they skittled out Undercliffe for 71 on their way to a six-wicket win. The result puts them three points behind Northowram Fields.

Buttershaw St Paul’s v Hopton Mill
Stephen Bland made 110 not out and Phil Bland took 5-63 as Hopton Mills romped to a 146-run win. Stephen hit a six and 14 fours and shared an opening stand of 187 with Paul Moorhouse (71). Zaaid Sajwal (59) and Daraz Ahmed (42no) then swelled the Mills total to 311-2. St Paul’s were dismissed for 165 with Khalid Rehman top scoring with 73. Phil Bland and Phil Scott (3-11) took the bowling honours,

Keighley v Wakefield St Michael’s
John Holland made 91 for Wakefield St Michael’s but his side could only build a total of 142 in their three-wicket defeat against third place Keighley. Mohammed Abbas (3-38) and Louie Wilkinson (3-30) were the key bowlers. Abbas followed up by making 43 as he and Humayan Shahzad (31) guided their side to victory despite Robert Taylor picking up 3-19.

Liversedge v Birstall
Frances Lonsdale (61) and Shoaib Rehman (57) shared a third wicket partnership of 117 but could not save Liversedge from an 18-run defeat. They were undone by the bowling of Conor Teale (5-66) as they were dismissed for 198. James Mistry (40) and Daniel Marlow (36) top scored for Birstall in their total of 216. The main threat came from Rehman (4-56) and Reuben Shuttleworth (3-51).

Sandal v Ossett
Usman Ilyas made 71 and took 4-55 as Sandal recorded a five-wicket win. Tom Jenkinson (83) top scored in Ossett’s 189-8.

East Leeds v Scholes
Rajab Ali hit an unbeaten 145 as he powered leaders East Leeds to a 112-run win. His innings featured eight sixes and 19 fours and helped his side post a total of 256-8. Finlay Townsend took 3-28 for Scholes while Joshua Cresswell Kellett (55) top scored in their score of 144. Shamoon Mushtaq was the best of the East Leeds bowlers with 4-23.

Rodley v Crossflatts
Crossflatts are 11 points behind East Leeds after defeating Rodley by 83 runs. Charlotte Boulton (5-43) was again their best bowler as they restricted their opponents to 125-9, Rob Dalziel top scoring with 32. Batting first, Crossflatts made 209-9 with Dan Trowers scoring 73. Rodley’s best bowlers were Paul Brearey (3-19), and Perry Lewty (3-48)

Hunslet Nelson v Gildersome & Farnley Hill
Ben Clay took 4-15 as Gildersome & Farnley Hill bowled out Hunslet Nelson for 85 to record a 27-run win in a low-scoring game. Thomas Hendry made 47 not out but lacked support. John Crowther (46) and Ashley Kearsley (34) top scored in Gildersome & Farnley Hill’s 112-8. Alex Rose (3-24) and Joshua Morris (3-28) posed the main threat.

Adwalton v Heckmondwike & Carlinghow
Heckmondwike & Carlinghow never looked back once Ahmed Butt (88) and Qamar Shahzad (59) shared an opening stand of 164 which helped them to a total of 230-5. Hadi Butt responded with an unbeaten 52 for Adwalton but his side were dismissed for 134 as Imran Akhtar picked up 4-23 to seal a 96-run win.

Crossbank Methodists v Wrenthorpe
Patrick Green was the key figure in Wrenthorpe’s seven-wicket win. After taking 3-18 as he and Antony Wilkinson dismissed Crossbank Methodists for 111, Green struck an unbeaten 51 to steer them to their target, Lewis Lockwood’s 49 was the highlight for Crossbank Methodists.

Spen Victoria v Windhill & Daisy Hill
Hasan Malik made 85 as Windhill & Daisy Hill overhauled the home side’s score of 161-5. Daniel Gibson (30) added useful runs while Yusuf Kuyat (5-51) picked up all the wickets to fall in the Windhill innings. Peter Jackson (46), Louie Jackson (44no) and Kuyat (34no) provided the bulk of Spen’s runs.
