Big match appointment for Bradford Premier League umpires

20 Sep 2018

Two All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League umpires will take charge of Saturday’s Yorkshire Premier League Championship final at Headingley.

Craig Chaplin and Steve Malone will officiate the clash between North Yorkshire South Durham Leaguers Great Ayton and Wakefield Thornes.

Malone, who joined the league’s panel this season after previously officiating in the Yorkshire League, took charge of the recent Black Sheep final between Hanging Heaton and Wakefield Thornes.

Chaplin is in his fourth season with the league and umpired the 2016 Priestley Cup final between Woodlands and Pudsey St Lawrence.

Carl Williams, who started his umpiring career with the Central Yorkshire League, will be the third umpire.

The match starts at 10.30am and admission is free,
