Carter gets final to mark 50th season

Alan Carter's selection to officiate in this season's Jack Hampshire Cup final is deserved recognition for his 50th year of umpiring.

Carter, who is a former chairman of the Bradford Premier League Umpires Association, will be partnered by Ray Osborne at Liversedge on Sunday, August 18.

Helen Maguire will become the first woman to umpire one of the league's finals when she takes charge of the Priestley Shield final at Pudsey Congs on Sunday, September 1. Maguire will be officiating alongside Craig Townend who will also be  standing in his first final.

Scott Richardson and Tony Tennent, who were due to take charge of last year's Priestley Cup final which was forfeited by Farsley, have been re-appointed for this year's final which will be played at Undercliffe on Sunday, August 11.
