Dawood's ton is tops for Jer Lane

Premier Division
Morley v Jer Lane

Jer Lane extended their lead in the title race to 18 points after defeating relegation-threatened Morley by 126 runs. Umar Dawood’s knock of 100, which included two sixes and 15 fours, was backed up by Adnan Mahmood (69) and Haseeb Rehman (58) as the leaders posted a score of 345-7. Andrew Kirkwood (3-85) and Zahoor Hussain (3-42) were Morley’s best bowlers.
Jotham Barnett (66no) and Michael Darby (38) helped Morley to 219 as Haroon Mahmood (7-32) posed problems for them.

Woodlands v New Farnley
Kieron Collins hit an unbeaten 111 as second place Woodlands kept their title hopes alive with an emphatic nine-wicket win over New Farnley. Collins hit four sixes plus 11 fours and shared an unbroken second wicket stand of 180 with Cieran Garner (90no) after young opener Harry Medcalf had been dismissed for 50.
Opener Joe Pyrah’s second successive century was the main ingredient in New Farnley’s score of 259-3. He struck three sixes plus 10 fours and was joined in a third wicket stand of 67 by Lukas Ruane (74). Opener Jonny Phillips also made 44 for New Farnley whose outside chance of taking the title were dealt a hammer blow.

Pudsey St Lawrence v Gomersal
Brian Devine hit an impressive 132 not out as Pudsey St Lawrence scored 219-6 in their 109-run win over Gomersal. His innings contained 25 fours and his efforts were backed up by Richard Allinson (4-26) as Gomersal were dismissed for 110. Tony Blain top scored with 60.

Pudsey Congs v East Bierley
Teenage opener Hassan Butt hit his second century of the season as Congs defeated bottom side east Bierley by 168 runs. Butt hit 15 fours and joined skipper Adam Patrick (71no) in an unbroken fourth wicket partnership of 103. East Bierley were bowled out for 113 with Patrick (4-23) and Vas Rajagopolan (3-41) leading the way.

Hanging Heaton v Batley
Hanging Heaton secured a slender one-wicket win over Batley in their derby clash at Bennett Lane. Chris Goodair (49), Rob McFarlane (44) and Finn Morgan (36) enabled them to edge past the visitors’ score of 221. Tariq Hussain (3-48) and Zahoor Hussain (3-42) were the pick of the bowlers for Batley while Sufyan Patel’s 93 helped them to 221 when they batted first, Benn Raynor (3-38) and Mick Horner (3-28) were the best of the bowlers.

Bowling Old Lane v Bankfoot
Muhammad Yasir took 3-31 as Old Lane dismissed Bankfoot for 102 to complete a 12-run win. In a low-scoring encounter, Old Lane only managed 114 with Fahad Khan making 35 against a bowling attack in which Asad Nasir (4-41) and Muhammad Addas (3-20) enjoyed the most success.

Bankfoot v Batley
Umar Mirza (62) and Mohammed Faizan (60no) enabled Batley to ease to a seven-wicket win. They overhauled the Bankfoot total of 181 which featured 69 from Haroon Iqbal and 35 from Muhammad Salman. Tariq Hussain (3-25) was the pick of the Batley bowlers.

Division One
Farsley v Cleckheaton

Opener James Hoyland hit an unbeaten 105 as Farsley moved a step closer to the Division One title with an eight-wicket win. Hoyland, who hit a six and 16 fours, was joined in an opening stand of 116 by Jamie Blackburn (41) as the visitors’ score of 178-7 was chased down. Yusuf Malik (58) and Shamas Zahoor (37no) top scored for Cleckheaton as Mukdas Mohammad picked up 3-57.

Bradford & Bingley v Methley
Spinner Reece Cockshott took 7-22 as Bradford & Bingley got their double weekend off to a good start with a five-wicket win. Methley were bowled out for 172 with Charlie Winter (48) and Jake Smart (38) leading the way. James Swallow (41) and brother Matthew (35) ensured Bradford & Bingley secured the win.

Bradford & Bingley v Cleckheaton
James Swallow and Reece Cockshott were again in good form as Bradford & Bingley defeated the eight-man Cleckheaton side to strengthen their hold on second place. Swallow made 90 and with Warren Allitt (92) and Phil Broadley (45no) also making runs, Bradford & Bingley posted a score of 268-3. Scott Price (73) and Craig Blackburn (31) helped Cleckheaton to 156 in reply as Cockshott took his tally of the wickets for the weekend to 12 with 5-38.

Carlton v Great Preston
Great Preston are running out of time to save themselves from relegation after slipping to a 165-run defeat. Richard Gandy made 88 but they were bowled out for 136 when replying to Carlton’s 301-6. Tom Ward (4-40) was the pick of the Carlton bowlers. Earlier, Daniel Wilbor suffered the frustration of being dismissed for 99. Michael Hodgkins (72no), Simon Parker (51) and James Cooper (42) all made good contributions for the home side.

Hartshead Moor v Yeadon
Abu-Bakar Siddiq (7-34) dealt Hartshead Moor’s hopes of avoiding relegation a body blow as he helped Yeadon dismiss them for 88 to complete a 124-run win. Simeon Pickering (84), and David Machell (40) led the way in Yeadon’s 212-8. Callum Heath took 3-34 for Hartshead Moor.

East Ardsley v Baildon
Baildon kept alive their promotion hopes with an 18-run win in a low-scoring game. The Jenny Laners looked to be in danger of defeat when the veteran david Battye (5-19) and Steve Blow (4-41) bowled them out for 100, but Stefan Mather (3-21) and Jamie Abbott (3-0) sparked a revival which saw East Ardsley dismissed for 82.

Townville v Lightcliffe
Lightcliffe showed that they have not given up hope of promotion as they bowled out Priestley Shield finalists Townville for 54 to secure a 191-run win. Ayan Zafar (5-18) and Connor Butterworth (3-27) did the damage after Evan Edwards (85no) and Jordan Pickles (48) had helped their side make 245-7. Nash Charles took 3-27.

Division Two
Hopton Mills v Brighouse

Brighouse have clinched the Division Two championship and their second successive promotion after defeating Hopton Mills by 128 runs. Zafar Mahmood (7-35) produced another fine bowling performance as they dismissed their opponents for 132. Nabeel Janjua (50), Tasveer Ahmed (46), Waqar Ilyas (42) and Azhar Tariq (33) all made significant contributions to Brighouse’s 260. Ben Haigh took 4-51 for Hopton Mills.

Undercliffe v Birstall
Undercliffe’s promotion hopes suffered a setback as they lost by 10 runs. They remain in second place, because their closest challengers Altofts and Keighley also lost. Lee Peters (4-41) and Connor Teale (3-61) help0ed dismiss Undercliffe for 195, despite 69 from Amaan Ali. Daniel Marlow (59) and Aamir Malik (43) helped Birstall make 205 when they batted first. Abdul Hamid took 4-59 for Undercliffe.

Sandal v Altofts
Despite half centuries from Jack Palmer (59) and Brad Barber (50) plus a fine bowling performance from Jaymes Hollingworth (6-52), Altofts suffered a 56-run defeat. Usman Ilyas (3-31) helped Sandal dismiss them for 164 after his side had made 220, Ian Shuttleworth scoring 58 and Will Henshall (38).

Keighley v Ossett
Keighley were bowled out for 98 as they suffered a 68-run defeat. Tom Jenkinson took 3-16 for Ossett after Gurnoor Singh (49) had helped them to make 166, Stephen Butterfield (4-46) and Harry Barker (3-30) were the best of the Keighley bowlers.

Northowram Fields v Liversedge
Shahid Bhatti (40) helped Northowram Fields to overhaul a Liversedge score of 165 and record a four-wicket win despite Riyaz Motala taking 4-86Joe Shuttleworth (47) top scored for Liversedge as Jacob Golding Smith (5-46) and Ayaan Shahid (4-31) posed problems.

Buttershaw St Paul’s v Wakefield St Michael’s
The match between the two relegated clubs was forfeited by Wakefield St Michael’s.

East Leeds v Wrenthorpe

East Leeds have had their lead cut to one point by Hunslet Nelson despite recording a 65-run win. Waqas Shafiq and Shamas Hussain both scored 45 not out as East Leeds made 166 before dismissing Wrenthorpe for 101. Kalin Lajporia took 4-46 for Wrenthorpe while Mushtaq (3-20) and Rajab Ali (3-27) were the best of the East Leeds bowlers.

Crossbank Methodists v Hunslet Nelson
Hunslet Nelson picked up a maximum 20 points as they eased to a 195-run win. Tom Hendry (72) and Josh Morris (68) helped Nelson make 270-5 before Jason Warriner (3-32) and Morris (3-36) bowled out Crossbank for 75.

Heckmondwike & Carlinghow v Crossflatts
Crossflatts dropped out of the promotion positions after suffering a four-wicket defeat. Taimoor Aziz (55) and Saleem Akhtar (35) helped Heckmondwike & Carlinghow pass the Crossflatts total of 182-8 despite the work of Charlotte Boulton (3-42). Dan Trowers (59) and Tom Greenwood (50), top scored for Crossflatts as Kamran Khan picked up 4-36.

Rodley v Gildersome & Farnley Hill
Bowlers dominated a low-scoring encounter with David Charles (5-11) and Bethany Slater (3-21) helping Rodley dismiss Gildersome & Farnley Hill for 40. Chasing such a small score did not prove easy and Rodley lost six wickets before edging home, Chris Dawson taking 4-29

Adwalton v Windhill & Daisy Hill
Jay Meredith hit 71 as bottom side Windhill & Daisy Hill secured a one-wicket win. He helped his side overcome the threat of Ben Allinson (5-42) to edge past the Adwalton score of 200-9. Ben Jackson made 42 while Mohammad Hanif took 5-49.

Spen Victoria v Scholes
Half centuries from David Townsend (79) and Mohammad Awais (50) enabled Scholes to make 227-6 before bowling out their opponents for 146 to secure an 81-run win. Adnan Lunat (45no) top score for Spen as Adnan Ali returned figures of 4-19.
