The Gordon Rigg Bradford Premier League will not be producing printed programmes for any of its finals. Instead, it will be providing spectators with a digital programme which can be viewed on-line or downloaded.
The digital programme will then be updated after each final with match pictures and completed scorecards so that they can be kept as a souvenir.
And the league will also be catering for those spectators who like a simple team sheet by proving a four-pager for each of its big games.
Chief Executive Alan Birkinshaw said: “By providing the programme in a digital format we can provide spectators and players with far more content and one of the great advantages is being able to update the content after each final.
“This is a far more cost-effective option than providing a printed product. In recent years we have produced a four-page programme, but often we would find them left on seats or discarded. Rather than scrap programmes all together, we saw this as an opportunity to do something different and increase the amount of content we provide.
“The digital programme can be accessed from many different devices such as mobile phone, laptop, tablet or iPad. However, the league knows that many of its older supporters still like to have a team sheet as they are not comfortable accessing on-line products, and we will be providing them with that too.”
The digital programme for the Gordon Rigg T20 Finals Day at Bradford & Bingley’s Wagon Lane ground on Sunday has 12 pages. It includes scorecards for both matches plus pictures from previous finals and news items. You can access the digital programme by clicking here
Bradford & Bingley officials have been working hard preparing for Sunday and spectators can expect a range of food options from burgers and hot dogs to cakes, crisps and sweets. Tea and coffee will be available along with soft drinks and beer.
