Frost is red hot as Saints go joint top

Morley v Pudsey St Lawrence
Adam Frost took six wickets for just five runs as Pudsey St Lawrence bowled out Morley for 24 on their way to an eight-wicket win that took them joint top of the Premier Division.

Hanging Heaton v Woodlands
Cieran Garner (4-48) and Liam Collins (3-37) are usually more noted for their batting exploits but the du showed they are useful bowlers as Woodlands joined Pudsey St Lawrence at the top with an 82-run win over the defending champions.

Hanging Heaton were restricted to 159-9 with Jack Rich making 49 not out and Bobby McFarlane (34) when they replied to a Woodlands score of 241 which was built around the contributions of Nicky Rushworth (72), Jack Bleazard (65) and Jak Murphy (35). Benn Raynor (3-41) and Tom Lindsay (3-47) were the best of the home bowlers.

Jer Lane v New Farnley
Jer Lane’s unbeaten record came to an end as New Farnley emerged winners by two wickets in a close encounter. Defeat was hard on Nasir Chowdrey who hit three sixes and 15 fours while making a splendid 127 for the home side. Arslaan Mahmood (45) gave good support as Jer Lane posted 285-7.

Leg spinner Jack Dyson took 4-86 for New Farnley and followed up with 48 in the successful run chase. Skipper Andy Langley (48no) and Tom Lilley (43) also made important contributions to get their side over the line. Mahmood was the best home bowler with 3-61.

Pudsey Congs v Bowling Old Lane
Pudsey Congs edged home by one wicket in a close-fought encounter with last man Liam Stanhope making an unbeaten 23 to see them overhaul the Old Lane score of 155. Ross Kettlewell (40) and Dan Metcalfe (31) were the top scorers as Fahad Khan (6-58) posed the main threat. Old Lane were kept in check by Adam Patrick (4-50) and Lewis Gunner (3-33) when they batted first.

Gomersal v East Bierley
Ross Monaghan scored 51 and took 5-17 as he guided East Bierley to a 195-run win at Oxford Road. Dan Abbott (67), Tom Hoyle (46) and Hamza Saeed (35) gave good support to their captain as a total of 275 proved well beyond the home side who were dismissed for 80.

Raja Immi produced a fine all-round performance to help Batley to a 20-run win over Bankfoot. Immi made 58 as his side scored 182 and took 5-40 as the visitors were dismissed for 162.Saqib Asghar top scored with 55 not out while Kian Phillipson (4-48) and Asad Khan (3-41) were Bankfoot’s best bowlers.

Bradford & Bingley lead Division One by a single point after their 36-run win but they were made to fight hard for their success by Townville skipper Kieran Samuels who hit 18 fours while making 117 in his side’s reply of 226 to the home side’s 262-7. James Dobson (4-50), Matthew Keeton (3-31) and Lewis Brown (3-48) shared the wickets as their side capitalised on the earlier good work of Warren Allitt (86) and Matthew Swallow (47). Luke Jacques was the beat Townville bowler with 4-57.

Farsley v Hartshead Moor

Farsley moved into second place with a five-wicket win at Red Lane. The success was set up by Elliot Addison (4-16), Mukdas Mohammad (3-25) and Richard Sutcliffe (3-35) as Hartshead Moor were bowled out for 120. Jamie Blackburn made 41 in the successful Farsley reply. Adil Ladak took 3-22 for Hartshead Moor.

Elliot Hallas returned stunning figures of 8-23 as Cleckheaton bowled out Baildon for 91 to set up a six-wicket win. Simon McDermott (35) provided the only resistance for the visitors while Ian Carradice and Craig Blackburn both scored 34 not out to seal the home side’s win.

Lewis Moore (69) and Steve Elliott (64) guided them to their latest success after the home side had been dismissed for 164. Kieran Dransfield (53) and Will Henshall (39) were the home side’s top scorers while Todd Reeday (3-18) was the best Northowram Fields bowler.

Buttershaw St Paul’s are propping up the early table after being dismissed for 119 and sinking to a six-wicket defeat. Oliver Ramsay took 5-47 as Hopton Mills restricted Keighley to 204-9 to secure a nail-biting two-run win. He hit four sixes and 17 fours while making 129 and followed up by taking 7-53. Shazaib Ayub (67) and Shan Ahmed (52no) helped well the East Leeds total to 313-5. Lewis Lockwood made 73 in Crossbank’s 179.

Scholes are second after Muhammad Awais took 6-12 as they bowled out Windhill & Daisy Hill for 86 to set up a 10-wicket win. Neil Kellett finished 50 not out.

The day’s closest finish saw Hunslet Nelson win by one run. Thomas Hendy (70), Alex Rose (61) and Joshua Morris (35) helped Nelson to post a total of 229-3.
