League's new disciplinary officials

Nasa Hussain and Bill Holmes have been appointed by the Management Board to head up discipline. They take up their positions with immediate effect.

Hussain is the new Disciplinary Chairman, taking over the role which was previously held by Mark Heald who was recently appointed league chairman.

Bill Holmes takes on the role of Disciplinary Officer and will be the first point of contact for all matters relating to discipline.

Both men are members of the Management Board and played  in the league for many years. Holmes at Farsley, Bradford & Bingley and Yorkshire Bank while Hussain had spells with Laisterdyke, Great Horton, Queensbury, Undercliffe and Bowling Old Lane.

The league is operating under the new ECB General Conduct Regulations which place emphasis on the roles clubs and captains have to play.

Captains are held responsible for ensuring their players conduct themselves and clubs are responsible for the conduct of their spectators and members. Where they fail to exercise their responsibilities they are liable to disciplinary action.

So far this season three players have received suspensions.
Aezez Dar of Jer Lane is serving a two-week ban which started at midnight on May 6
Jonathan Bell  of Yeadon has received a one-week ban which starts at midnight on May 13
Craig Field  of Hartshead Moor has received a one-week ban which starts at midnight on May 13
