Lightcliffe's historic pavilion and all its memories are flattened by bulldozer

League photographer Ray Spencer captured the moments when Lightcliffe's 100-year-old pavilion was demolished to reveal the impressive structure of their new clubhouse raising behind it.

Club and league officials, Lightcliffe members and cricket followers gathered to watch the much-loved wooden structure reduced to a pile of rubble as the bulldozer moved in.

For some it was a sad sight as  100 years of history was torn apart but there looming large above the wreckage is the building that Lightcliffe hope will develop memories every bit as special in the future years.
