Local Lockdown Update

31 Jul 2020

Following on from this morning’s news regarding the re-introduction of some lockdown restrictions in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees, we are advised by ECB that cricket can continue this weekend under step 4 of ECB return to cricket pathway.

Clubs must adhere to strict the social distancing guidelines outlined in particular:

  • Players should not car share unless from the same family
  • Dressing rooms must remain closed except for toilet access and padding up by one person only
  • In Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees strict social distancing applies when socialising. Persons from one household group may not mix with those from another household group unless social distancing is in place. That means staying 2m apart or 1m plus control measures. Clubs should make spectators aware of this.

This situation is fast moving and we cannot guarantee that further restrictions may be brought in by individual local authorities.
