Entries wanted for Heavy Woollen Cup

Entries wanted for Heavy Woollen Cup

In response to feedback from clubs, the requirement to enter teams into both the Heavy Woollen and Crowther Cup competitions has been removed.

While it is not possible to enter a team solely into the Crowther Cup (2nd team) competition, it is now possible to enter one team into the Heavy Woollen Cup.

If, as a club, the feeling is that fielding two teams on a Sunday would be a struggle why not enter a team made up of 1st and 2nd team players into the Heavy Woollen Cup?

For 2nd team players with hopes or ambitions to venture into first team cricket, this would provide them with the experience of playing against opposition they do not come across on a weekly basis within their own league.

The entry fee has again been kept at £35 to make this as attractive as possible to clubs. The organisers hope that those lucky enough to gain a home draw will recoup this fee from teas etc.

Should you wish to discuss this, or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact either Sue Roberts email: suecroberts@blueyonder.co.uk or Paul McFarlane email: hwmatchdm@bradfordcl.com
