Umpires go for president Pearson

Glyn Pearson has been named as the new president of the Bradford Premier League Umpires Association.

He takes the position which was held with distinction for many years by Derek Shuttleworth who died in January aged 89/

One of the most recogiseable figures on the league scene, Pearson has previously served the association as chairman and secretary.

Pearson, who is an ECB ACO training officer,said: ‘I am honoured to be considered for and offered the post of President, but it is an even greater honour to be able to accept the position."
