Young bowler Reece Cockshott produced a dazzling performance to keep Bradford & Bingley at the top of the Gordon Rigg Second Teams Premier Division League Cup West Section table.
Cockshott had the impressive figures of 6-17 as he an Matthew Keaton helped skittle out East Bierley for 57 to secure a 121-run win. Cockshott is now the league's top wicket taker with 17.
Bradford & Bingley owed their total of 178 to teenage batsman Jack Sharp (42) and veteran Mark Gilliver (42). They countered the threat posed by Ross Monaghan (3-11).
On a day when only five of the 14 scheduled second team fixtures went ahead, Northowram Fields replaced Baildon at the top of the Division One West Section after defeating them by 38 runs.
Todd Reeday made an unbeaten 51 and Steve Elliott (31) as Northowram Fields made 148-6 before dismissing Baildon for 110. Simon McDermott top scored with 50 as Reeday followed up his batting exploits with 3-25 and was backed up by Will Parkin (3-30).
Sandal lead the way in Division Two East after beating Wrenthorpe by four wickets. Chris Gibson’s unbeaten 47 helped them overhaul Wrenthorpe’s 99-7 in a 33 overs per side contest. Lee Geldard took 3-17 for Sandal while Ben Purdy (3-20) was the best of the Wrenthorpe bowlers.
Jack Sykes took 5-16 for Townville but could not save them from a 62-run defeat against Wakefield St Michael’s.
SIkander Khan (31) top scored as St Michael’s scored 157-9 before dismissing Townville for 95 with Shahroze Bukhari taking 5-17.
Hartshead Moor cruised to a nine-wicket win in their Sunday fixture with Hopton Mills. James Hardastle took 5-21 as Mills were dismissed for 71. then Louis Brooke made 40 not out as Hartshead Moor cruised to victory.
